Bomb Party Dancer Swaps Without the DM Chaos

How can I handle Bomb Party dancer swaps without drowning in DMs?

Put your dancers in one place customers can browse, and let them send a swap request from there. That's what the Dance Floor does on a Sparkle Suite rep site. Customers look through your dancers and request a swap. You review each request and make the final call.

This post is about how you organize dancer swaps between you and your customers. It isn't about Bomb Party's own policies. For those, check Bomb Party's official resources.

Why do dancer swaps get so messy?

Because they usually happen in DMs. One customer asks about a ring in a comment. Another sends a photo in Messenger. A third asks if that necklace from last Tuesday is still around.

Now you're scrolling three apps trying to remember what's available and who asked first. It's easy to double-promise a dancer or lose a request.

What is the Dance Floor?

The Dance Floor is a page on your rep site that lists your dancers, the pieces you have available to swap. Customers browse it any time, not just during a live. When they see a dancer they want, they send a swap request. They don't need to sign in or make an account.

Who decides on a swap?

You do. Every time. A swap request is a request, not a done deal. You look it over and decide yes or no. The Dance Floor keeps the requests organized, and the decision stays with you.

How do I keep my dancers in one place?

Add your dancers to your Dance Floor as they come in, and point customers there instead of answering "what do you have?" one DM at a time.

If you're a paying rep, Nic-Nac, the assistant in your workspace, can add and update Dance Floor listings for you. Adding Dance Floor listings is one of the things reps ask Nic-Nac to do most. More on that in Meet Nic-Nac.

Does the Dance Floor help during a live?

Yes. When a viewer asks to swap dancers mid-show, you can send them to your site instead of stopping the reveal. Your Live Lineup and show calendar are right there, too. See how to run a live reveal customers can follow.

A few habits that keep dancer swaps clean

  • Update listings right after a swap. A dancer that's gone should come off.
  • Send everyone to the same link. Your site, not a screenshot.
  • Answer requests in order. It's fair, and customers notice.
  • Post your swap preferences. Your swap preferences and notes show right on your Dance Floor cards, so customers know what you're looking for before they ask.
